A few weeks ago, Magic Bullet Records founder Brent Eyestone posted a picture to his Instagram of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and Torche drummer Rick Smith jamming with him and a few other musicians. We had some questions as to what the picture meant and what the future was for the group, and now we've got a little more in the way of answers.
According to The PRP, Converge bassist & Doomriders guitarist/vocalist Nate Newton will be fronting the project. Those hoping for a full-on supergroup may be disappointed as it looks like this is just a fun jam for all parties. According to Torche's Andrew Elstner, the project will only be doing something for the Tony Hawk Foundation benefit and then maybe recording a Black Sabbath cover and an original or two.
Do I smell a 7" in the future?
