Bloockstock Open Air will be taking place from August 11 to 14 at Catton Park in Derbyshire. Outside a great lineup of bands will be a duet of custom-made, commemorative basses made by Cynosure Guitars on display in memory of Motorhead's Lemmy. The duo took six months to create from start to finish, and judging by the pictures above and below, Cynosure did a damn fine job.
Here's what the company had to say about the basses.
"Though stylistically very different from one another, both bass guitars represent the iconography and mise-en-scene of perhaps one of the most prodigious and pioneering rock and metal acts in musical history."
The basses will be on display at the Rock And Metal Gallery alongside other rock and metal memorabilia… hence the name of the gallery. Check out more pictures of the basses, courtesy of Bass Player!
