WE CAME AS ROMANS To Continue As Quartet After Frontman's Death

Posted by on November 8, 2018 at 12:53 pm

We Came As Romans frontman Kyle Pavone passed on earlier this year. The band has since performed a tribute show in his memory with a slew of guest vocalists, and they also continued on their tour Bullet For My Valentine and Bad Omens.

Vocalist for the band Dave Stephens says in an interview with Kerrang! that it's weird to sing Pavone's parts live and that the band doesn't "want to add another member again, and at this point, we’re closer than ever."

Speaking on the band's future, Stephens says they'll continue because it's what Kyle would want, though he has no idea when they'll eventually work on new material.

“I think as of now, we need some time to navigate our grief. We got the tour done and a lot of those firsts that were going to be really difficult out of the way. I guess the next first would be writing music without him, and I’m not sure when that will happen. We definitely plan on continuing on. Kyle and all of us dedicated so much time to making this happen because we all wanted it so band, and I know he would be pretty livid if we threw in the towel.”

We Came As Romans' final album with Pavone was 2017's Cold Like War. The band also launched a foundation in Pavone's name, which you can read more about here.
