The Latest On Randy Blythe: Bail Posted, Will Not Be Released Until At Least Monday

There has been a lot of information, and seemingly misinformation coming out of this Randy Blythe case in Prague. If you've been without internet access for the last week, then you may want to catch up by visiting our #freerandyblythe section, which has all our stories on the matter.

The latest: Randy appeared in court again this morning, where he posted the bail of $200,000 USD and it was accepted by the court. Due to Czech law, the prosecution has three working days to decide whether to approve Blythe’s release. This is where it gets shitty: Thursday and Friday are national holidays in the Czech Republic, so if the prosecution accepts his bail, it would be on Monday at the earliest. And, even if the prosecution decided today that they would accept his bail, the court itself has three working days to decide if they accept the prosecution's approval. Should the prosecution not accept Blythe's bail, the case would go to municipal court. If the court agrees with the prosecutor, Blythe's bail would be cancelled and returned and he would remain in jail.

Last night, we posted new video footage of the event in question, which showed that a burly security guard was much more to blame for any injuries sustained by the fan than Blythe.

Our thoughts are withe Blythe who has now been detained for over a week in a Czech prison.
