REVOLVER GOLDEN GODS 5th Anniversary Performers & Nominees Announced (Headlined By METALLICA)

We've always had a great time at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. We've been on the black carpet every year (watch some of our interviews), but this year it seems like they really stepped it up for their 5th anniversary.

The event will take place Thursday, May 2nd at the Club Nokia in Los Angeles. It will be aired live on AXS TV, X-Box Live and streaming on Facebook. The show will be hosted for the fourth straight year by Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho and feature performances by Metallica, Five Finger Death Punch, Anthrax, Stone Sour, Dillinger Escape Plan and Halestorm. There are more performers to be announced down the line.

The annual Golden God award will be presented to Rob Zombie, who will be promoting his new album, Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor out April 23.

In addition to performing, Metallica will be receiving The Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement award.

The Riff Lord Award will be going to Black Sabbath guitarist and the father of heavy metal,as far as I'm concerned, Tony Iommi.
