As we've reported, James Hetfield makes his acting debut in the Ted Bundy biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile, starring Zac Efron, for which the trailer was released last week.
Hetfield plays the Utah highway patrolman who first arrested Ted Bundy in 1975 and shares scenes with Haley Joel Osment, who also plays a cop. The film was directed by Joe Berlinger, who worked on the infamous Metallica doc Some Kind of Monster.
The Sundance premiere was this weekend and as MetalSucks humorously pointed out, Hetfield's acting didn't exactly make too many waves as his name is cited in two reviews and they make no mention of his acting. For example, Birth.Movies.Death.'s review notes “James Hatfield [sic] shows up at one point.”
But what should be noted is James, sporting his recently-grown Hogan mustache, gave some serious dad-core looks at the premiere:
Thank you for your fashion, James.
