Marilyn Manson is still off the road after being crushed by a prop on stage in New York City and breaking some bones, though that hasn't stopped him from making some changes in his band's lineup. Manson has taken to Twitter to announce that he's let bassist Jeordie "Twiggy Ramirez" White go and that White will be replaced on Manson's upcoming tour.
This announcement comes on the heels of White's ex-girlfriend Jessicka Addams accusing him of abuse and rape during their relationship 20 years ago. Manson released a statement in tandem with Addams' story, saying "I knew nothing about these allegations until very recently and am saddened by Jessicka’s obvious distress." White has not responded to these allegations yet.
White has sporadically been a part of Manson's band over the years, playing bass from 1993 to 2002, 2008 to 2009, and 2014 up until today. White also played lead guitar for Manson between 2009 and 2013. Manson has not specifically stated his reason for letting White go just yet, and White has not responded to his firing either.
I have decided to part ways with Jeordie White as a member of Marilyn Manson. He will be replaced for the upcoming tour. I wish him well.
