Last week we reported that Korn was working with outside collaborators on their coming new album. Frontman Jonathan Davis specifically said "Munky and Head have been writing with different people for a while now, getting songs together."
Now Davis is clarifying his comments in an interview during the release party of his new solo album Black Labyrinth, saying they're working with producers.
"[Munky and Head] been working with a couple of different producers. I fucking hate the Internet, man. I say, 'Hey, the guys have been working with a couple of people,' and they say, 'Oh, now they're using writers, and they suck.' I fucking hate it! They're working with two producers. We're writing everything. And when I get done with this [solo] tour, I'm gonna go back, I think, in July for a couple of days and start working with them. We're just working on music. It's just how it works. We're still writing our own music. It's all good. No worries, man — no worries."
To be fair, Davis said "writing with different people" and not "working with different people." Plus, if he didn't want his comment to be speculated on, then why not clarify that the guys were working with producers in the first place? That certainly would've cut down on unwanted speculation.
Either way, Korn is working on a new album intermittently as Davis goes on and returns from his extensive world touring schedule.
