KATAKLYSM Support Drummer's Decision To Leave Band And Talk Replacement

So we talked about Kataklysm drummer Max Duhamel leaving the band due to some pretty hefty personal issues, and now the band is statting how they feel about it.

The band released a comment, saying-

“We as a band of brothers stand by Max‘s decision to get better and to rise from his demons, we all have them, some of us try to hide them and pretend they dont exist, some of us have the courage to confront them, Max has shown strength to fight his, we stand by him and hope that he returns home when he is ready, in the meanwhile I want everyone to know for those who haven’t seen the Iron will documentary, that this bands story is one of drama, pain and the long road to victory..

We will practice what we preach on our albums, we will come out swinging hard and strong with this new album , we will find a suitable replacement and we will announce him in the next few weeks, we will not dissapoint any of you, we have read the messages of encouragements you have posted, we have the best fans.. and in these classic words 'the show must go on…'"

Not that anyone expected the rest of the band to come out and start berating Duhamel for his problems or anything like that, but to make the brotherly love publicly known is always nice to see.

Outside of that, I guess the band have people in mind to replace Duhamel? They say that they don't have one, but that they'll be announcing the replacement in the upcoming weeks, which means to me they are at least thinking about a few people. Unless they're just going to go ludicrous speed through the entire process and hire someone within the next few weeks? Seems like a bad idea to do the latter, but I'm not Kataklysm so I wouldn't know. In the release, the band also announced that they'll be hitting the studio soon for their new record, Waiting for the End to Come, which is always a good thing. Stay tuned!
