Geoff Tate rushed his album Frequency Unknown out before the other Queensryche released their album, and as a result the mix is another level of awful. So awful, in fact, that he's remixing it and sending fans who bought a copy a new one.

Alright, let's look at the positives first. At least Tate is listening to his fans and recognizing that the new album's mix is really, really sterile and generally boring everyone to death. He's cool with that and will be giving the fans what they want, and for that I can't really dump on the dude all that bad. Yet at the same time, really man? You let the album go sounding so terrible and then decided that it was bad? I (barely) understand that you want to get it out before Othersryche gets their out, but putting out a crappy album before someone else doesn't make it any less crappy. That's just… kind of silly. "Hey, I'll beat them to it by dropping a steaming pile on my fans!" Yeah, that didn't piss anyone off.
