DISTURBED's David Draiman & Jim Norton Get Into Twitter Feud Over New Daily Show Host Trevor Noah

He's not down with antisemitism.

He's not down with antisemitism.

Disturbed's David Draiman has a track record of being an very outspoken individual, and especially so when it comes to people who attack the Jewish faith. So of course he would jump at the chance to slam the new host of "The Daily Show" Trevor Noah when it was recently brought to light that Noah published several tweets between 2009 and 2014 that some perceived as being antisemitic. For example:

Blabbermouth is reporting that during a recent appearance on Israel's public domestic and international radio service Voice of Israel, David Draiman made the following statement regarding Noah:

"You know, I'd love to have this mamzer [a Hebrew word referring to a person born of certain forbidden relationships] go ahead and call me on to his show. If he wants to go ahead and be a funny guy, go ahead. Have me on your show. Go ahead and start spewing anti-Semitic or Jewish jokes while I'm on your show. Somebody's gonna end up in the hospital and somebody's gonna end up in jail, and I'll give you three guesses who that's going to be."

Them's fightin' words. As if this wasn't enough, Draiman also engaged in a Twitter boxing match with comedian Jim Norton regarding the subject. Here is the entire exchange:

Draiman is probably taking this whole thing way out of proportion, but as he's showed in the past, you can't come between a man and his Jewish faith. It's certainly an entertaining exchange to read. Norton raised a pretty valid point when comparing Noah's jokes not being anti-semetic to Draiman lyrics not making him a minsogynst. Of course, Draiman tried to defend himself at this, saying it's not the same because he was referring to one specific woman as opposed to Noah's jokes referring to the entire Jewish faith, but this is extremely sloppy logic. There's nothing wrong with Draiman for standing up for what he believes is right, but the fact is there's also nothing stopping Noah or Norton or any comedian for that matter making jokes at anyone's expense, regardless of how offensive it may be.
