Corey Taylor finally comes around! During a recent stop on his book tour, Taylor revealed first that Slipknot is planning a US tour next summer and secondly, that "there will be another Slipknot album" albeit a few years down the road. This is a pretty big revelation from the Slipknot frontman.
You'll remember that as recently as last week we reported that Taylor has felt vilified by fellow bandmates because of his lack of committal to recording a new record. Joey Jordison seemed all about it from day 1, but Taylor was reluctant saying he needed time. Well, I'm not exactly sure what happened in the interim, but ultimately, we all knew that there would be too much money left on the table for the band not to record another record.
As for what tour they would do, I can't see the band doing anything but that summer's Rockstar Mayhem Festival. You may recall they headlined the inaugural one, and I honestly can't think of a better, more available band than Slipknot to headline this summer's version of the fest. This is pure speculation on my part, as I have not heard anything official, but it just makes too much sense not to happen.
