The police force in Kensington, P.E.I., Canada, are absolutely not fucking around when it comes to arresting drunk drivers. Not only will you be arrested and fed to a moose (that's what they do in Canada, right?), but the Kensington Police will play Nickelback's Silver Side Up on the way to jail! The horror!
Here's a portion of what the police had to say about the punishment via Facebook, which you can read all of below.
[W]hen we catch you, and we will catch you, on top of a hefty fine, a criminal charge and a years driving suspension we will also provide you with a bonus gift of playing the offices copy of Nickelback in the cruiser on the way to jail.
Now, now, no need to thank us, we figure if you are foolish enough to get behind the wheel after drinking then a little Chad Kroeger and the boys is the perfect gift for you.
While I do think this is hilarious, I also have to ask if they've got CD players in their cruisers. Why the cassette? Was this bought prior to this post and then someone realized what they did and it sat in a drawer for a while?
Anyway, don't drink and drive this holiday. Drinking and driving is only acceptable in one instance, and it's this Black Flag song. Outside that, don't be a moron.
