This is a bit of a bummer, turns out that song we posted yesterday which we hoped was a new song is really just a b-side. In a recent interview with Movie Web, frontman Mike Patton was asked if he would be playing any B-Sides when they played their album King for a Day… Fool for a Lifetime in full in Chile and he responded “We are doing a tune we’ve never done from that era. I guess that would be a B Side. I don’t know if we released that at all… I don't know!” So chances are, that's that song they played. The intrepid interviewer also asked if there is any possiblity of new Faith No More material, which Patton answered honestly:
“There are no plans. That is all I can say. We have basically talked very little about it. I think that is because we are really just getting to know each other again. And we are getting to enjoy each other’s company again. We are taking it, and appreciating it for what it is. We are not trying to look too far ahead. That is the honest truth.”
I can understand that and I appreciate that the band is not rushing into things. But the fanboy in me is thinking that they just need to get in the studio and make magic already.
