Looks like in 2015, we're going to be seeing an entirely new lineup for The Faceless, save for mastermind guitarist Michael Keene of course. Late last night, vocalist Geoff Ficco announced he was leaving the band:
"After nearly four years with the band, I have decided to leave The Faceless to pursue new opportunities. Thank you to the fans of the band, as well as the past and present members of The Faceless, for the unforgettable experience. One of the projects I will now have more time to focus on is my black metal band Ys, which just released an album in November. Thanks everybody."
In case you weren't paying attention, Geoff follows the lead of the other guitarist, bassist and drummer all announcing their exit from the band earlier this year. The crazy thing is all of these band members who left are not even original members. The sole original member is of course Keene.
Fans of The Faceless shouldn't lose their shit, I'm sure Keene has plenty of willing talented players to join his ranks for their 2015 plans. Theoretically, it's been long enough that there should be new music. They were teasing some new music in the summer, but I guess now we'll have to wait even longer while Keene finds people to play the music.
