SLIPKNOT Officially Part Ways with Chris Fehn; Call His Claims Manufactured

slipknot chris fehn kicked out

Given the news last week that Chris Fehn is suing Slipknot over what he believes is unpaid earnings, it should come as no surprise that this morning the band officially announced they are parting with Fehn.

Slipknot posted a statement to their official website which stated:

Slipknot’s focus is on making album #6, and our upcoming shows around the world, our best ever. Chris knows why he is no longer a part of Slipknot. We are disappointed that he chose to point fingers and manufacture claims, rather than doing what was necessary to continue to be a part of Slipknot. We would have preferred he not take the path that he has, but evolution in all things is a necessary part of this life.

Long Live The Knot.

Last week, The Blast reported on Fehn's lawsuit, which specifically cites Corey Taylor and Shawn Crahan for allegedly shady business dealings:

He claims to have always been told that the money from merchandise and touring is funneled through one sole company that splits profits and pays the members of the band. However, Fehn claims he recently discovered that his bandmates have set up several other Slipknot affiliated business entities in different states that appear to be collecting money from the band.

Fehn says he was unaware of these additional companies and had never been paid by them. He is looking for a full forensic accounting on Slipknot's assets and wants to collect the money he believes he is owed.

Corey Taylor responded to the allegations almost immediately on Twitter, writing "You’re gonna read a lot of bullshit today. This is all I’ll say. JUST YOU WAIT TIL THE TRUTH COMES OUT. Long Live The Knot."
