Dave Lombardo Puts An End To PHILM

Dave Lombardo is on to the next thing.

Dave Lombardo is on to the next thing.

Philm had an interesting history as a band. The group formed in 1996, though it never put out a record until 2012. There was Harmonic, which was then followed up by Fire From The Evening Sun in 2014. So logically, there should be a new record in 2016, right? Not quite.

First it was announced that Dave Lombardo had quit Philm, as he had said on the Let There Be Talk podcast.

“I’m not gonna talk about it. They didn’t want me to promote the band while I was with them, and I’m certainly not gonna do it when I’m without them.”

“I don’t wanna talk about it anymore. Yeah, so I just said, ‘See ya!”

So what would Philm do without Lombardo? Well, nothing. Lombardo then took to Facebook to announce that he had not only left Philm, but the group was completely and totally finished.

To be clear: I did not "exit" PHILM, I ENDED PHILM. Thank you to all who supported that band. Now, I'm off to the studio to do what I love.. play the fuckin' drums. Dead Cross LP & Tour Dates Coming Soon!
