Trans-Siberian Orchestra isn't a name you normally hear outside the holiday season, though once that season revs up, there's a solid chance they'll be coming to a town near you. Trans-Siberian Orchestra has two touring units, meaning the 105 shows they performed between November 17 and December 31, 2016, is entirely reasonable.
What doesn't seem reasonable is that the entire collective raked in over $56 million dollars in ticket sales alone, according to a report from MetalSucks. That excludes any merchandise sales too – $56 million in just the 927,000+ tickets sold for the shows.
So maybe go start a Christmas-themed band. They seem to be doing just fine.
