TOOL Have The #1 Album in the U.S., Australia, Norway, New Zealand, and Belgium

The Tool release of Fear Inoculum is a rare event for rock these days. Yesterday, we learned they've unseated Taylor Swift at the top of the U.S. charts, with the highest selling rock album in over a year. Although, Billboard counts Dave Matthews Band as rock (I guess!) so it could've even been longer.

But, the Tool album isn't just crushing it in the States. The band also have the #1 album in Australia, Norway, New Zealand, and Belgium. They are seeing a top 5 debut for UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Ireland, Italy and Finland.

Check out this rare statement released by The Coalition of Independent Music Stores (CIMS): “Several stores had well-attended midnight sales on Thursday (it was my store's first midnight sale in 10 years). When we returned to work on Friday morning, there were lines at the door… the TOOL release was the biggest thing to hit retail in years.” That's pretty wild!

Tool is bringing rock fans back into stores. And, they're bringing rock fans back into the arenas too. Their U.S. tour dates are all practically sold out. Check out the routing below:
