Last night at around 5:30 pm, convicted felon Don Pooley picked a random house and kicked the door down. Most of the family in the home escaped but the unidentified 13 year old child was held hostage until 11am this morning.
It's unclear what the hostage situation was about, but at 11am Pooley was in contact with his sister, who was cooperating with authorities. Pooley requested breakfast, and when police brought it to him, loud shots were heard in the neighborhood and Pooley was killed.
The child was unharmed and returned to his family.
This is a crazy situation, and not one any family would want to be a part of. I'm glad everything was resolved and Head's second cousin is okay.
