Judging by the amount I've tried to pimp Finland's own Diablo in the past, it shouldn't take a super sleuth to figure out that I genuinely love their latest record Icaros. The only problem with that statement is Icaros was released in 2008, and we've yet to hear any talk concerning a future LP. The band had recently announced a May 1st release of an eBook which transcribes all the drum charts off Icaros, but that hardly settles our hunger for top notch Melodic Death Metal.
The other week, while soaking in the wonderful warm weather of Los Angeles, I shared my love of Diablo with Vince Neilstein of MetalSucks, who agreed this band is totally awesome. It made me realize: 1.) Despite my efforts to pimp out the record to you guys, I've yet to blog about it, and 2.) We're definitely overdue for some new tunes from one of the sweetest bands of this genre since Mors Principium Est (who are also way overdue for a new LP). Hey Finland, you can keep Korpiklaani! Start sending over the good shit!
