THE FACELESS Is Bassless (For Now)

I was a bit surprised to see The Faceless at the Metal Injection-sponsored Sumerian SXSW showcase last Wednesday playing without bassist Jared Lander. Michael Keene announced from the stage Lander quit the band the day before tour. After watching the band twice, I can say, I barely noticed he was missing. The band still killed. I spoke to a member of the band and he told me that they already have another guy lined up, and while they asked me not to reveal who it is, let's just say there is no animosity between them.
