Maltese band Loathe have got it right. I never heard of them before, but my buddies at MetalSucks posted a new video of theirs and they nailed it. Performance videos are all the rage as they are cheap and easy to produce, but to make a good performance video… that is a challenge.
The one thing Loathe remembered to do with their video for "Bucketlove" is have fun. They used a few cinematic tricks like slowing down the song to half speed while filming and then speeding up the tape to make for a gnarly effect, but the one thing that this video conveys is that the band is having fun, which is something a lot of bands forget, when it comes to heavy metal. 5 stars!
