This DEFTONES-Inspired Cover of RICK ASTLEY's "Never Gonna Give You Up" Is Surprisingly Good

Sometimes he'll let you down, in this version.

Deftones Never Gonne

Mac Glocky, whose real name is Zach MacLachlan, has performed a fantastic cover of Rick Astley's now-iconic debut hit "Never Gonna Give You Up" in the vein of nü-metal favorites Deftones.

Glocky is currently living in Sacramento, and describes himself as "a singer, songwriter, TikToker, YouTuber, and multi-instrumentalist" on his website. He has previously published Def Zeppelin, a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" in the vein of the Deftones, and "Brain Stew" in the vein of System Of A Down.

His most recent Deftones cover is trending on the internet. His Instagram video has a top remark that reads, "I wish it was on Spotify not ironically." One more admirer remarks: "I had to get rick rolled to watch this, but it was worth it." Another awed commenter asks, "Please say there is a full track of this somewhere." "You nailed it!"

While Deftones have no new music or future tour dates scheduled at present, you can enjoy Glocky’s unique "Never Gonna Give You Up" cover below.

Also remember that Deftones has recently announced their 11th collaboration with the Belching Beaver Brewery and it looks a little like an Arizona iced tea.
