Unless you've been living under a rock that doesn't roll, you might have noticed the metal world has really come to accept synth-wave as a sub-genre we playfully consider our own. As a fan of the scene for years, it's been an amazing thing to watch these two worlds come together, and see the growth of key bands that blurred the lines between hesher and dancer.
One such artist is none other than Franck Hueso, aka Carpenter Brut, who has been creating some top shelf jams over the years with the release of 3 incredible EPs. Brut quietly dropped a surprise full length album on the world earlier this week, and did it with style!
The new full-length is called Leather Teeth, and consists of eight heavy hitting saw filled tracks that'll make your booty shake or head bang, depending on your preference. Even cooler, the album includes two special vocal guests that I was SUPER stoked to hear, Kristoffer Rygg of the mighty Ulver, and a personal favorite, Mat McNerney of Hexvessel / Grave Pleasures! All this wrapped into a packed 32 minute burner, means you only have one thing left to do… check the damn thing out now!
Catch Carpenter Brut on tour! I've been fortunate to see this live several times and it's something you don't want to miss. Check the dates below and grab your tix while they're still available.
