Hailing from Portland, OR, Worws is here to either make you start a circle pit or break your fists as you wildly flail into your surroundings. We're premiering the band's new song "Belfast" today, and while the song itself is fantastic, the introductory bit seems at the very least a little bit timely, given the country's current situation(s). Singer Tony Meuser, had this to say about the song:
"Belfast" is a war cry against the hanging clouds of crooked politicians and societal woes of a failing system, throwing a wrench into the American political climate. Trying to break down the way we're taught to think and taking it further by calling out the dysfunction we all stand behind in the name of Capitalism."
Musically, Worws sounds like a more concentrated, aggravated version of United Nations, though there's no hint that the band's fury will let up at any point. Worws will continue to be angry in LP form with Truth To Power come September 22, and you can grab yourself a pre-order of the album via Amazon here.
