Roadrunner Get In The Djent Business By Signing HEARTIST

Looks like Roadrunner isn't done signing baby bands just yet. In the last few years, all we've heard about from the label is the acquisitions of established artists with huge followings, like Rush, Lynyrd Skynard and Lenny Kravitz and to a lesser extent Gojira, but turns out they have some room for young guns too. The band just announced the signing of Heartist,  The band have released a new track, and if you close your eyes, it almost sounds like a Periphery demo. Check it out:

In the last few years, the label hasn't had much luck with baby bands, bands like Baptized In Blood and Mutiny Within ended up being dropped after their first release, so can they catch lightning in a bottle with this band? Heartist's new EP, Nothing You Didn't Deserve, comes out October 16th. The band will release a full-length in 2013.
