Myrone brings the 1980s future shred to the present, making it some linguistically tangled genre nonsense that I'm just going to call retro-shred from here on out. (Note from editor: Myrone prefers the term "soft shred" and we back this!) So besides his music, specifically his new EP titled Drift Stage Main Theme, what else evoked the imagery of the days of spandex and Aquanet? Neon, of course! That and 8-bit video games.
So Myrone could've slapped those on the cover and called it a day. Or, as he's done, he could make a neon 8-bit car 7" for the EP that you can totally pre-order before it comes out in February 2016 right here! Yes, that car up there is a vinyl 7" with music on it.
You can also stream the two-song EP right here and pick it up digitally now.
