OCEANO Posted New Song, To Release Ascendants In March

The new guys in the band definitely changed the sound a bit.

Oceano will be dropping its new record Ascendants on Mar. 23 via Earache Records. The lineup for the record is a little confusing though, considering some websites are saying the only changes in guard are the additions of guitarist Michael Kasper in place of Devin Shidaker and Hate Eternal drummer Chason Westmoreland in place of Daniel Terchin. The band's Facebook makes no mention of any drummer being an official member of the group and also welcomes bassist Chris Wagner in place of Jason Jones and guitarist Scott Smith in place of Nick Conser.

Who the hell is in Oceano?! At least both lineups mention Kasper being a new member, so we know Kasper is definitely the guitarist and Adam Warren is (still) definitely the vocalist. I suggest taking your frustrations over the amorphous lineup out by slamming around a bit to the group's new song "Dead Planet."

The group is also touting the fact that Ascendants is a concept album, though no information on the concept has been provided yet.
