It sounds like a hardcore track with shred.

Megadeth bassist Dave Ellefson will release his memoir More Life With Deth on July 16. The book will also come with a new Ellefson solo album titled Sleeping With Giants. On the album's most recent single "Hammer Comes Down", Ellefson teams up with ex-Megadeth guitarist Chris Poland and Alter Bridge axeman Mark Tremonti for tons of shred over what sounds like a pretty straightforward hardcore track.

Chris Poland played in Megadeth between 1984 and 1987, and then again in 2004 for The System Has Failed. So it's been a little while since Ellefson and Poland were reunited!
