Famed film composer John Carpenter released his first two non-soundtrack albums Lost Themes and Lost Themes II in 2015 and 2016. Now, right in time for Halloween, Carpenter is back with a new single "Weeping Ghost" off his coming album Lost Themes III: Alive After Death. The album features John Carpenter his son Cody Carpenter on synths, and Daniel Davies on drums.
"We begin with a theme, a bass line, a pad, something that sounds good and will lead us to the next layer," said Carpenter of his band's writing process. "We then just keep adding on from there. We understand each other's strengths and weaknesses, how to communicate without words, and the process is easier now than it was in the beginning. We’ve matured."
