Disillusion will release their first new album since Gloria in 2006 titled The Liberation on September 6. The band is seamlessly blending melodic death metal with huge, crushing rhythms on their brand new, 13-minute long track "Wintertide" that you really ought to check out below.
Here's what Disillusion mastermind Andy Schmidt had to say about the song.
"We are extremely proud to present 'Wintertide,' the opener of our upcoming album. All involved in writing this piece, mixing it and making the great video, did a tremendous job. We hope you will enjoy it, taking you on a journey with both the clip and entire record. Special thanks to Jarkko Lunnas! The epic video was directed and shot by said Finnish cinematic videographer, featuring sceneries filmed in Iceland and Finland. Lunnas himself comments, "I'm humbled and stoked by the trust of Disillusion, whose artistic output I've been exceptionally impressed and creatively inspired by throughout years, to get to contribute artistically back to this amazing band's legacy and new rise."
The Liberation was mastered by Jens Bogren (In Flames, Insomnium, Opeth) and you can pre-order it here.
