The two piece crusty/grind unit Negative Thought Process are set to release their debut album Methylene Butterfly via Hibernacula Records this Friday (9/16). The U.K. based duo Daniel Page (Victorian Whore Dogs and the excellent Exquisite Ending) and Kyle Townsend (Ex-Strike Offensive) are turning out sick/desperate/hopeless/drug addled songs that cut and crush in equal measure.
The record is a crusty grindcore/HM-2 fueled trip melded with industrial elements and powerviolence. Fans of the Swedish death metal Entombed sound married with the industrial misanthropy of Anaal Nathrakh will be snapping their necks two-minutes into this.
As far as a Grindcore Monday goes, this should be more than enough to get you going. Turn up the volume. Your co-workers and speakers be damned. Negative Thought Process play to destroy and, goddammit, they’re going to wreck everything you love.
