What better way to kick off the work week than with a new track debut from the mighty Mastodon. The band have already released two tracks off their highly anticipated September 27th release, The Hunter, Curl of the Burl and Black Tongue, but now we have our third taste of new music from the band in the form of the track "Spectrelight." It features guest vocals from Scott Kelly of Neurosis, clearly a huge inspiration to the band, and somebody who has appeared on their albums before. Here is the trippy stream:
This track sounds like exactly what I expected Mastodon to sound. I am not saying I am disappointed, because I like it, but at this point, I feel like I need to hear the album as a whole before making any judgements.
