Magrudergrind's output from II has been pretty damn fast so far, though expecting a bunch of doom and sludge from the band seems unreasonable. Which is why hearing "Black Banner" has been all the sweeter! The song is three minutes of purely uncompromising heaviness that refused to turn up the BPM, though you skull will still suffer all the same.
II is out February 12 via Relapse Records.
