IN FLAMES Tease New, Potentially Heavy Song "I Am Above"

As heavy as 21 seconds can be.

As heavy as 21 seconds can be.

If you've been following In Flames for the past few years, then you're well aware of how vastly different they've become since their melodic death metal days. In Flames is also doing pretty well for themselves with their own festival and tours, so clearly this new sound is working out for them. Though now they've begun teasing a new song called "I Am Above" and it actually sounds like 2006-ish In Flames. Or at least as accurately as one can assume something like that from 21 seconds of a song.

"I Am Above" is out December 14 and will come alongside a music video directed by Patric Ullaeus (Dimmu Borgir, Lacuna Coil, etc.). This will also be In Flames' first effort with new drummer Tanner Wayne (ex-Chiodos, ex-Scary Kids Scaring Kids) and new bassist Bryce Paul (Ives), assuming they've both been inducted into the band from their current standings as live members.
