Apparently, there was some backlash to the first new Veil of Maya song, released a few weeks back, which I kind of don't get. The band is evolving, and the riffs, man!
Their new track, "Telute" was just posted and holy crap, if ever there was a track that showcased guitarist Marc Okubo's fantastic ability to write the crunchiest, catchiest riffs, this is it. And yes, there is some clean vocal lines on the track, but they are at the very end, and incredibly tasteful. I dig this one a lot:
