Between Ghost and Deafheaven, I'm not sure who causes more arguing on the Internet among metal fans. Today we're dealing with the latter and their new song "From the Kettle On to the Coil," which will not be out until August 25 via the Adult Swim Singles Series. The song is obviously not the studio version, but a professionally filmed live bootleg of the jam courtesy of Pitchfork. Check it out!

So what did you think? Personally, and as a Deafheaven fan before this, I love it. The first half is much more somber like their earlier Roads to Judah album, but then about halfway through the song takes a turn for the gigantic! After a brief pause and single-note jam, that is, which is new for them in terms of riffing. Deafheaven are bound to draw in some new faces.
