Turn The Rock Up To 11 With VALLEY OF THE SUN's Volume Rock

Badass hard rock for fans of Clutch, Crobot and the like.

Badass hard rock for fans of Clutch, Crobot and the like.

Do you like heavy metal mixed with a bit of chunky blues and topped off with the accessibility and catchiness of a great hard rock band? Well then, have we got the band for you.

Cincinatti's Valley of the Sun is a relatively unknown name in the hard rock sphere, but if there was any justice in the world, they would be taking over the airways instead of the recycled, lazy garbage you hear every time you turn on the radio. Their new album Volume Rock drops on Friday, but we have an exclusive stream of the album below for your listening pleasure. Open your windows, turn it up to 11 and play it LOUD:

In case the opening lick of "Eternal Forever" didn't make it apparent, Valley of the Sun isn't your run-of-the-mill hard rock band. These guys can play, and more importantly, they can write damn good songs. Frontman Ryan Ferrier has one hell of a set of pipes on him, and he shines throughout the entirety of the album. The fuzzed-out hooks and driving grooves found through Volume Rock make this album perfect for a summer-day highway cruise, with windows rolled down and the volume cranked up to 11. I could easily see these guys opening for a band like Clutch and totally holding their own.

Volume Rock drops this Friday, April 29 via Fuzzorama Records. Pre-order here.
