The Elephant Parallax is a killer progressive rock and metal trio featuring David Renteria on guitars, Stephen Charouhas on bass, and Paul Charouhas on drums, all three of which take turns being the band's vocalist. The band will release their first new album in eight years titled Loam & Sky on May 18 and we're premiering it in its entirety today.
The album is four tracks long and packs way more quality progressive rock than you're going to know what to do with. To put it simply – if you're into the spazziness of The Mars Volta, the jarring weirdness of Voivod, and the vocal stylings of 3, then you'll love this.
Loam & Sky was recorded at L.A.'s legendary Ocean Way Recording (Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, Tom Petty), was mixed by Renteria, and was mastered by Ronan Chris Murphy at Veneto West. Art and layout by Burton Gray & David Renteria, and you can pre-order the album here.
