Metalcore from Hungary? You betcha! Harmed hails from the country's capital Budapest and formed just earlier this year. The quartet, who features vocalist Levente Spicze, guitarist Balazs Keresztesi, guitarist Gabor Toth, and drummer Mihaly Zsakay (because who needs bassists nowadays anyways, am I right?), is gaining momentum quickly as they recently opened for Jinjer and have a tour planned next year in support of this new EP and the incoming full-length LP.
The act's debut EP, From Day One, is dropping officially on December 15th via Famined Records. The release stretches past the fourteen minute mark with five total tracks. The material sways between the melodic metalcore sounds of The Ghost Inside, nu metal experimentation from Sworn In or Emmure, and deathcore heaviness of perhaps The Acacia Strain. Personally, I'm a sucker for the fusion of nu metal and metal/deathcore, so "Speechless & Deaf," "605," and "Not Myself" hit hard.
