Today, Mastodon releases its not-so-long-awaited new EP, Cold Dark Place. I say not so long, because they literally just announced it a month ago without too much fan fare. But today is release day and the band, being total mensches, have uploaded the entire EP for our ears to enjoy.
If you enjoy your Mastodon heavy, this might not be the release for you and these songs are more on the ballad-y side. If you want heavy, just jam their earlier release from this year, Emperor of Sand.
