Just in case you're not up on good music, drone legends Earth recently dropped their new record Primitive and Deadly on September 2. The album sees the band drift further away from noise-laden stuff and more into psychedelic sounds with an almost country-ish twang to it, which is awesome. It's worth noting Earth has been releasing albums to the masses for 21 years now, and from their noisy beginnings of Earth 2: Special Low-Frequency Version to this it's clear they're not ones to just sit around content with what they're doing.
Primitive and Deadly also features killer vocal work from Mark Lanegan (ex-Queens of the Stone Age, ex-Mad Season) and Rabia Qazi of Rose Windows I, who we all need to go check out apparently. Get spacey!
