Author & Punisher, the one-man project of Tristan Shone, is now streaming Live 2020 B.C. The live album was recorded during Author & Punisher's time opening for Tool right before COVID-19 derailed everything.
"To open for Tool was such an honor and I loved every second of it," said Shone. "I've always loved playing bigger venues and festivals with huge sound systems and lighting rigs… From the first note of my first song on the tour, the bass just exploded with the wall of subwoofers and it was mind numbingly satisfying. What a perfect end to the Beastland cycle."
Shone is also streaming his mini-documentary style video documenting a day in his life during quarantine below as well.
"As difficult as this time has been for everyone, there is an element of self-reflection that I think most humans have been going through. All of my shows were cancelled from the end of March to August, so the amount of time to write this album increased by 6 months…this is huge for me and although it's painful to wake up every morning with all the bullshit going on, I am getting a lot of pleasure from writing these songs at a reasonable pace without a gun to my head."
