DEVIN TOWNSEND Teases Peaceful And Extremely Heavy New Material Clips

Likely from Empath.

Likely from Empath.

Devin Townsend will release his brand new solo album titled Empath in March 2019, his first since he put Devin Townsend Project on hiatus. Townsend recently stated that he's working with The Elektra Choir and that he's recording at Monnow Valley studio in Wales with drummers Morgan Agren (Casualties of Cool, Fredrik Thordendal's Special Defects), Samus (Decrepit Birth) and Anup Sastry (ex-Intervals, ex-Monuments).

While Devin Townsend also says he's working on a new Casualties Of Cool record, it's likely what you're hearing below is off Empath. At least the one that's skull-crushingly heavy is probably from Empath. From what we've heard thus far, this really does sound like Townsend is combining everything he's ever done into one album and personally, I'm really excited to hear it.
