Demon Hunter's last two albums have been pretty damn good, and the instrumentation has been somewhat dense. The band used a lot of keyboard sounds and a ton of guitars to get its point across, but "Dead Winter Sun" isn't quite that.
The song seems to not have very much going on instrumentally, and I love it. The focus is on the riffs, the verse vocals cut right through, and the chorus is really meticulously built up with a few layers of voices.
I'm pretty interested to hear what Outlive sounds like upon its release in March 2017. Are you?
