Deafhaven are like a dreamy shoegaze into a world of violence made out of rainbows. It makes me feel really weird and I like it.
Listen above, and if that isn't enough, check out the "Dream House" single as well. It's a double whammy into happy black metal! Seriously, that's the best way to describe it. It's such a strange amalgam of sounds in the best way possible. Part of me wants to grab some invisible oranges and make weird black metal faces at my ceiling, but part of me just wants to sit here and jam and be happy with my eyes closed. It's a real mixed bag.
