Clean vocals seem to be the Devil as of late, what with Whitechapel announcing that it'll be utilizing some and Lamb of God bringing some cleans on its latest record. It never seems to be a very welcome announcement, yet it's still exciting to see bands branch out and do something different.
This time around it's Cough, whose new track "Let It Bleed" is nearly 10 minutes of depressing, downtrodden doom that uses exclusively clean vocals throughout. It's a welcome addition to the band's seemingly instant classic new album Still They Pray and it just works so damn well with the music that goes along with the vocals.
The album is out June 3 via the infallible Relapse Records.
