Once on a trip in Florida, Chris Barnes smoked me up. As a metal stoner, this was initially a huge moment for me, until I realizedhe was just a regular dude like I was. He told me stories about how he hides nuggets in his dreds when going through customs and gets away with it every time. He might've mentioning hiding other things as well but I was too stoned to remember by that point.
Which makes me certain that Barnes probably lit up Cannabis Corpse, the three piece Virginia death metal band that started as a goof but developed into a full-fledged awesome DM band, as they were recording this new track, "Individual Pot Patterns" a lampoon on Death's "Individual Thought Patterns."
Sounds great! I'm curious why they didn't name the song after a Cannibal Corpse track? Perhaps they're out of weed puns for their discography.
The track comes from Cannabis Corpse's new album, From Wisdom to Baked out on June 23rd via Season of Mist. Order your copy here.
