Tech death and brutal death have been making a huge comeback as of late. I suppose it never really went away, but there are so many good bands on the scene that it's hard to be a metalhead and not enjoy either of these subgenres to some degree. As if we needed another great band to stuff our ears with, Breeding Filth from Lafayette, Ind. have just premiered a new track over at No Clean Singing called "Exhibit of Perverted Lunacy" set to appear on their forthcoming debut album Perverse Devolution, and it sure is tasty.
Breeding Filth shares several members with fellow Indiana tech death band Dawn of Dementia, whose EP Residuum is a vicious slab of tech death. There are certainly similarities between the groups, but Breeding Filth is much more brutal death and slam oriented than their sister band. "Exhibit of Perverted Lunacy" showcases what Breeding Filth is all about, ripe with blast beats, technical riffing and ground-shattering slams, and it should excite fans of the genre. Also worth mentioning is the awesome artwork for the album, which was done by one of my personal favorite artists Raul Gonzalez, who has been responsible for creating equally striking album art in the past for Morbus Chron, Horrendous and many more.
Perverse Devolution is set to be released sometime in the Fall of 2015. Follow the band on Facebook for all the latest updates from their camp.
